Southern Coach Works asked me to help create a Testarossa Flat 12 engine display that was patterned after an original art cutaway drawing shown above. Robert Jackson found a scrap engine from a vehicle fire that he disassembled and provided the major components for machining. The photos below are selected from many we took in the process of cutting and blending and polishing.
He also commissioned a vertical and a horizontal mounting stand, both 304 stainless. The images below show the 3D scan/CAD models of both stands.
The result is a truly unique and beautiful display, the engine design and presentation are incredible in person. This now belongs to a private collection after sale at auction.
